What did Biden know and when did he know it?

Right now the $64 question is whether President Biden knew anything about the allegedly criminal activity of his son. Was Joe the big guy and was he "in the room" on these deals? We don't know the answer to these questions yet but the information that is publicly available does not paint a pretty picture.  At best Hunter Biden has been the recipient of millions of dollars of payment because of a perceived value to the people who made the payments of paying Joe Biden's son with Joe unaware. At Worst, our sitting President has been using the power of his positions to solicit money from people in exchange for his influence.

Rush Limbaugh gets it

I am sitting here in shock. He is discussing what has occurred in the last decade in the mortgage finance market and what the true purpose of TARP was.

Crazies in Congress

A bill targeting China is moving through Congress as I write this. Is it wise to get into a fight with the folks who we need to have finance our trillion dollar a year deficits?

So Sorry...

The digusting spectacle of the Obama Administration castigating BP for failing thus far to cap the damaged well is almost comical at this point once you realize they have no better solutions. In fact it would be quite something to see if BP just said,"you are right, we can't do it..." Then Prezbo and company could really show us how it is done! Of course then they would really own the responsibility and that is the last thing they want. I suspect that is probably behind some of the White Anger on this issue: their inability to deliver any solutions is exposing them as inept as the Bush team allegedly was after Katrina. I do wish they would jump in and take control!

Do not put too much significance into Evan Bayh's departure

The pundits are buzzing away about Evan Bayh's decision to leave the Senate and what it means in various ways but they all seem to be overlooking one significant point: Evan Bayh has Presidential aspirations and by getting out now he avoids and difficult votes that are coming down the line. Bayh cited partisanship as a reason for him to leave now and that may well be true, but at the same time you can imagine that he would have been happy to remain if the Democrat agenda was sailing through smoothly.

Representative Cummings

On CNBC this morning Congressman Cummings from Maryland mentioned that he noticed there were no signs at the 9/12 protest in Washington DC that said anything about executive pay and bonuses.

Mr. Cummings that's because the government is on a path that will make all the executive bonuses and pay issues seem trivial compared to the destruction that will be caused by reckless government spending. It is called prioritization. You may chose to fiddle on the deck while the ship sinks, but the people who took the time and spent their own money to show up in Washington on September 12, 2009 we there to express their extreme concern for what is going on and to let their represenatives know they are paying attention.

Despicable and Shameful? Hi Pot meet Kettle!

Wow, the tea parties really seem to have struck a nerve with some. http://tinyurl.com/cfluhm

Funny thing about these tea parties is I bet the same things we said about the Founding Fathers of this country 220 plus years ago. This Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) from Evanston obviously did not spend anytime finding out who might have attended these events. The attendees were not there to support a party, they were there for the most part out of concern for the well being of the country we live in that has been on a path to financial disaster for a long time and movement in that direction has been accelerated recently. The people of the United States are concerned and this probably scares the heck out of big time liberals like Schakowsky because if people start "meddling" in the affairs of their own government, it will become harder to accomplish their agenda. Darn!
